All About Arwen

Arwen has been causing some ruckuses around here because of her nocturnal activities. Starting about a week ago, she has decided that 3:17 a.m. is the perfect time to try to punch her way out of our room through the bedroom door. Since this continues until one of us wakes up, I generally stumble out of bed to let her out, but then she is back banging on the door to get in 5 minutes later. However, it is tricky to stay angry with a cat who looks so charming. Also note how she's practicing her camouflage skills in the above picture, blending right into her surroundings.

Arwen has been under the weather for the last three months or so, but we've been trying various remedies to help her shake off the illness, but to no avail. We're taking her to see the doctor this weekend, who will hopefully tell us an easy fix for her ailment. After all, as you can see above, she is suffering quite a bit these days...

Two co-workers this evening were talking about their very sick cats. One lady just spent $400 on vet care and had to have her cat put to sleep last night. I was feeling a little guilty about the way I really like our cats but don't pay much attention to them. Cats who live with people like those ladies and you and Abbie are luckier than Little Sweet Jeannie and Winks!

What kind of ailment, David?

She appears to have a bladder stone, so her bodily discharges have been having a suspicious red tint for quite some time.
