How about them apples?

What is your favorite kind of apple? I was sitting around, enjoying a pink lady apple and thought that it was my favorite kind. Then I asked my friend Julie what hers is. We determined that Pink Lady apples are very delicious, and our least favorites are Granny Smith and Red Delicious.

So tell me, what is your favorite kind of apple?

My favorite is pink lady, too. I also like Braeburns equally as well. I like the crunch and the sweet juice!

I am okay with Fuji. I also like going to a big store like Schnucks that has a dozen different varieties and getting a few flavors.

I am so glad we don't live in the "olden days" prior to wide distribution of apple varieties!

When I make Daniel's baby food apples, I use Red Delicious because they are so soft!

I've always loved Fuji apples the most, but we've been getting some apples in our delivery lately called Pinova and those are really good too.

I don't live in the olden days but since I shop at Aldi, for me an apple is pretty much an apple! I think they have three or four different kinds, but I guess I am not very picky about apples, and never heard of pink ladies!

I am a big fan of the green ones.

It is interesting to me that there are so many varieties of apples, but oranges are mostly navel oranges and bananas are almost exclusively the Cavendish (due to, I believe, some insect or famine that wiped out the Cavendish's predecessor many decades ago).

RORO said right now my favorite is GALA. I think my tastes change with the seasons and which apples are in season locally.I REALLY LOVE THE FALL WHEN APPLES ARE LOCALLY GROWN AND ARE THE BEST!

I used to think my favorite were Granny Smith and Braeburns. However, I discovered a local orchard that has this delightful variety called Honey Crisp and I can't get enough of them when they are in season. My Grandma always said Jonathons made the best pies and I tend to agree on that front.
