Big Line Big Sky

I took this on the way to David's parents' house a few weekends ago. It took us almost 40 minutes to travel 20 miles, and after sitting in this for a few miles we took a side road.

David has been seeing a lot of the road lately. He recently accepted a new job that is much, much more of a commute for him. He has studied to be an actuary, and landed a job in the field a few weeks ago. This involved many changes for us, but everything is working out really well. He loves his new job and I think he feels much more fulfilled now that he is actually in his chosen profession. Before, he was doing auditing work, which was okay, but just not what he wanted to do forever. This new job provides a great opportunity for him.

Other perks? They apparently have a great coffee machine in his office and have taken him out to lunch to meet people 7 times since he started. I am starting to get a little jealous of his work situation!

It was smart of you to include the link explaining what an actuary is. My favorite parts were "many events, such as death, cannot be totally avoided", and the pleasant work environment actuaries enjoy. That certainly seems to be true for David! I am so happy he likes his new job.
